PSG confirms fissure; Neymar should lose game against Real and stay one month out

New tests carried out on Monday evening brought bad news to the Paris Saint-Germain supporter.

Neymar is out of the game against Real Madrid and should stay about a month away from the lawns. In addition to the sprained right ankle, the club confirmed a fissure in the fifth metatarsal of the same foot in a statement released on social networks.

Defender Marquinhos, another concern, suffered a grade one muscle injury in his left leg.

PSG did not need an exact time for Neymar's recovery, but according to, it should not be less than a month, which is also likely to lead him away from Brazil's friendlies against Germany and Russia in late March.

Initial examinations even raised the expectation that Neymar could be in the field on March 6, against the Real, in the Park of the Princes, but it was verified that the injury is more serious than it seemed.
