Breaking News: Nigeria Labour Congress Suspends Warning Strike

According to the NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the Strike is been called off as a result of the firm and formal assurance of the Federal Government to reconvene the tripartite committee on the new minimum wage

The Nigeria Labour Congress Warning Strike was as a result of the federal government under President Buhari’s refusal of implementing the new minimum wage as part of his electoral promises

The organised labour suspended the ongoing strike with effect from today, Sunday.

National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba announced this while briefing journalists at the Labour House Abuja.

Wabba said that the organised labour has gotten firm commitment from the government that the Tripartite Committee of the Minimum Wage Committee reconvenes on October 4.
